Jamie & Millie: Shaw House & Letcombe Village Hall

Jamie and Millie celebrated their wonderful Berkshire wedding on the 4th of July 2026, perfectly blending historic grandeur with relaxed countryside charm. The day started with a beautiful ceremony at Shaw House in Newbury. The grand architecture and pristine grounds of this historic venue offered spectacular natural light and elegant backdrops for their formal portraits.

After the ceremony, the wedding party made their way to Letcombe Village Hall for a highly personalised and relaxed reception. Capturing the contrast between the historic elegance of Newbury's Shaw House and the intimate, joyous celebrations in Letcombe was a privilege. It is weddings exactly like this that make being a Berkshire wedding photographer so rewarding.

Alex photographed our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with the experience or the results.

From the moment he arrived, he completely understood the kind of day we wanted. We weren’t looking for anything overly staged or intrusive, and he captured the atmosphere perfectly. He blended into the background when he needed to, kept everyone relaxed, and was incredibly patient throughout the day – even when things didn’t quite run to plan.

The quality of the photos are excellent. Every image feels natural, captures genuine moments, and tells the story of our day better than we could have imagined. Looking through them brings all the emotions back, and we’ve had so many compliments from family and friends.

Thank you for giving us memories we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives.
