Behind the Lens: Capturing GQ Heroes 2026 at Soho Farmhouse

There are few locations as effortlessly picturesque as Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, and few events as culturally charged as the annual GQ Heroes summit. From June 30th to July 2nd, the rustic-chic retreat transformed into a hub of radical thinkers, artists, activists, and industry leaders.

I had the privilege of being on the ground for the first two days to capture the essence of the event. From the high-energy talent arrivals to the crisp, early-morning wellness sessions, here is a look at GQ Heroes 2026 through my lens.

Day 1: Capturing the Arrivals
The first day is always about anticipation. As the sleek event vehicles—supplied this year by Jaeco/Omoda—rolled up the gravel drives of Soho Farmhouse, my goal was to capture the immediate, candid energy of the talent stepping into the Oxfordshire retreat. The fashion was impeccable, blending rural relaxation with high-end editorial style.

It was a photographer’s dream to shoot this year's incredible roster of speakers. Through my viewfinder, I caught the arrivals of incredible actors like Ewan Mitchell and Tom Glynn-Carney, alongside House of the Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal. The energy shifted from quiet sophistication to vibrant and eclectic as phenomenal musicians Jorja Smith and Elmiene arrived on the scene.

Rounding out the arrivals were insightful cultural voices, including psychologist and author Jonathan Haidt, former racing driver and broadcaster Naomi Schiff, author Musa Okwonga, and brilliant journalists and presenters like Miranda Sawyer and Edith Bowman. My focus was on authentic, unposed moments—the initial greetings, the relaxed smiles, and the undeniable aura of a crowd that shapes modern culture.

Day 2: Dawn Patrol with Lululemon
If Day 1 was about luxury and culture, the morning of Day 2 was entirely about movement and mindfulness. Before the heavy panel discussions began, the day kicked off with wellness activations sponsored by Lululemon. Shooting fitness and movement requires a completely different rhythm, and the morning light breaking over the farmhouse grounds provided the perfect natural backdrop.
I split my morning covering two fantastic sessions:

  • The Run Club with Andre Coggins: Led by the incredible Lululemon ambassador Andre Coggins, the run club was high-energy from the jump. Capturing the pack moving through the lush, misty trails of the Farmhouse grounds allowed for some beautifully dynamic, action-forward shots. Andre’s ability to motivate the crowd translated perfectly on camera.

  • Yoga with Sanchia Legister: Following the run, the tempo slowed down for a grounding yoga class led by fellow Lululemon ambassador Sanchia Legister. The focus here was on breath, form, and stillness. The visual contrast between the intense cardio of the run club and the serene, synchronized flows of Sanchia’s class gave the morning’s gallery a beautiful, balanced narrative.

The Synergy of Sponsors
An event of this scale doesn't happen without incredible brand partners, and visually, their integrations were seamless. Lululemon set the tone for wellness, ensuring the attendees were physically and mentally primed for the day. Meanwhile, headline automotive partners Jaeco and Omoda provided the sleek, modern aesthetic for the arrivals and transport around the sprawling farmhouse estate.

Shooting GQ Heroes 2026 was an incredible exercise in versatility, jumping from portraiture to action-sports photography in a matter of hours. It’s always an honor to document the people and brands pushing the culture forward.
